Africans and Korean Entertainment

The Western Nigeria Television Service was the first to broadcast television in Africa in 1959. (WNTS). A lot has changed in Africa’s media and entertainment industries since then. Growing up in the Western part of Africa, specifically Nigeria, 4 p.m. was a big deal for kids. In most homes, it was TV time with our eyes glued to the screen, waiting for the rainbow stripes emitting radio sounds to give way to cartoons and other scheduled children’s programs.
