Being 35.
The One with Mo! — On Version 3.5
I turned 35 recently. In some countries with lower life expectancy, 35 is considered middle age. It’s also a good time, in my opinion, to reflect on the lessons learned over the years and what needs to be improved in the coming years. So bringing back my dear friend and sister, Linda, to the show was a good idea. We talked about what it’s like to be 35 and how the last few years have gone.
Linda Jena, my Zimbabwean sister, is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Texas A&M in Commerce, TX. She has been very committed to supporting the podcast. It is always a delight to have her on the show, especially when it has to do with soul-searching conversations like the one we had in this episode.
The more I discover myself as I get older, the more I learn and grow. This fuels my desire to keep going. Despite the numerous mistakes I’ve made, every day is an opportunity to continue living life. This is not to say that I am able to live this purpose out regularly; it is difficult to live in that strength of purpose. But I try, remembering that I need to keep walking in my purpose and that if I limit myself, I am limiting God because my purpose is really not about me but about God.
