In this episode of The More Sibyl Podcast, we welcome a special guest, my mother-in-law, fondly known as Grandma or Deaconess Esther Adedipe. She unveils her upbringing: born in 1946 to a deeply religious family, guided by her father, who was a minister at an Anglican Church in Nigeria.
She reflects on her childhood, inspired by her father’s teachings to embody the courage and wisdom of biblical Esther. She also shares her academic triumphs, never placing second in school, and her intriguing experiences filled with nostalgia and love stories.
We explore her family, including her seven siblings, who were nurtured by their parents’ love. She expresses her admiration for her father’s talents in ministry, fashion, and mentorship, which influenced her sewing skills. Throughout, Grandma’s lively spirit shines as she recounts tales from her past, revealing the essence of faith and familial love.
