Introducing Kikelomo Adisa: Founder, Steer for Change Mother and Newborn Foundation

In Nigeria and many other developing countries, maternal and child health care is of major concern. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the maternal mortality rate of Nigeria is 815 out of 100,000 live births. Unfortunately, this is not surprising, considering the meager investments made by the government into the country’s healthcare system. In many rural communities, charitable donations and medical services by NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and other humanitarian aid are the major financial source of basic healthcare amenities. One of these is the Steer for Change Mother and Newborn Foundation, headed by Kikelomo Adisa. It is noteworthy to mention that Kike and I attended college together at FEGGO almost two decades ago.
