As a young woman with big dreams and wild aspirations, the concept of marriage felt like a trap to me. So even when I eventually tied the knot, I wasn’t sure how long it would last. But I’m glad to say that TDawg and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last month. Of course, it hasn’t been all rosy, but I acknowledge his role in how far I have come in my journey.

To celebrate this milestone, we took a trip to Jamaica. I always say that our wedding ceremony was a spectacle; to date, I cringe at the thought of watching the entire ceremony video. So for our 10th anniversary, we wanted to do something special and intimate — a wedding without a huge crowd.

During our getaway, we had a beautiful recommitment wedding, just the two of us. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience on the day, but I’m not spilling the details here; you have to listen to the episode to get the story.
