What Women Want When It Comes To Relationships (The Male Perspective)
The One with Dr. Taiwo Adedipe and Dr. Ibukun Sonaike
This week we are drawing the curtains on The Relationship Series. This month, we have explored singleness from the male and female perspectives; we also looked into the father-daughter relationship in honor of Father’s Day. In this final episode, I have Dr. Ibukun Sonaike and my husband, TDawg, as my guests.
Dr. Ibukun is from Lagos, Nigeria, where he received his medical degree. He worked as a primary care physician before studying public health and epidemiology at the graduate level. He currently resides in Washington, where he is training in pediatric critical care, and hopes to improve healthcare in resource-limited settings, especially for very sick children.
Like many medical students juggling with the rigors of their academic load, Dr. Ibukun was preoccupied with his studies and was not so successful in getting into relationships for reasons such as a lack of interest from the lady, prepping for exams, and his change of geographical location. On the other hand, TDawg wasn’t really into the dating game but was guilty of leading someone on, though ignorantly.
Both men agreed that women have a role in helping the males around them define their intentions to avoid misconceptions and time wastage.
